JINKY MARSH (nee Trijo) is a Filipino-Australian musical artist whose repertoire includes musical excerpts, operetta, show tunes, movie themes, contemporary pieces, nostalgic ballads, standard jazz, classical music, religious songs, songs from around the world as well as nursery rhymes and children songs. She has performed in various venues in Melbourne, Sydney as well as in the metropolitan Manila (Philippines) and New Jersey (USA). Among which were at the Darebin Centre, Altona Theatre, Cranbourne Community Theatre, Rockdale Town Hall, Zenith Theatre, Blacktown Workers Club, Hornsby RSL, Sydney Town Hall, Whitlam Leisure Centre, Fairfield and Melbourne Showgrounds, Asquith Leagues Club, Rooty Hill RSL, Swissotel, The Music Museum and The Willow Hall. Jinky started singing at the age of 5 and as a third grader, she had been occasionally asked by the teacher and classmates to sing songs to start the morning classes. She had formal training in musical theatre, voice, character entertainment, stage and screen acting and community radio broadcasting for children locally, interstate and overseas.
Being an experienced voice talent, actor, singer and character entertainer as well being committed to continuing education - in singing (classical, musical theatre and contemporary) and in music playing (piano, violin and harp) - Jinky aims to collaborate her talents and skills in all her performances for the delight and satisfaction of her audience. As a mezzo soprano, Jinky has shared the stage with singing sensation Charice Pempengco (youtube discovery of Ellen Degeneres, dubbed as the world's most talented kid by Oprah Winfrey, toured with award-winning composer David Foster, Youngest Winning Judge - XFactor Philippines in the 2014 edition of The Guinness World Records Book) as one of her front act artists in her Sydney Concert in 2014 (Cheers Entertainment). In 2015, Jinky, once again became a support act of the multi-awarded Filipino artist Lea Salonga in her Sydney concert (OZPinoy Promotions). Lea Salonga won the Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World Awards for the role of Kim in Miss Saigon in London's West End and New York's Broadway. Jinky has played the same role in Miss Saigon for Rockdale Musical Society's 70th anniversary in 2009. In September of same year, Jinky was invited to share the stage with Asia's acoustic sensation and award winning singer-songwriter AIZA SEGUERRA in her Wagga Wagga concert (E-Talent Management & Entertainment). AIZA is the first Filipino artist to hold a concert in the region. Jinky has also worked with MS PILITA CORALES in 2016, dubbed as the "Asia's Queen of Songs" in the Philippines in support of a charity musical in the Central Coast for breast cancer awareness (Cancer Council ID:51483). She stepped in as a front act artist as a replacement to another in the D Legend Meets D Voice Concert (Radiant Star Entertainment) starred by the Philippine highly-distinguished actor CHRISTOPHER DE LEON with The Voice Philippines Finalists JANICE JAVIER and YUKI ITO.
Jinky was also given the honour and has graced a number of cultural gatherings and international rugby test matches by singing the Philippine National Anthem, Lupang Hinirang, for the KNIGHTS OF RIZAL Sydney Chapter, internationally-acclaimed Philippine LOBOC CHILDREN's CHOIR (Liverpool NSW 2015) and Philippine-Australian Rugby team, the TAMARAWS (Cabramatta Rugby League Club VS Serbia in 2016 and VS Malta in 2017). She engages herself in the celebration of Philippine annual cultural festival, FIESTA KULTURA, both in Melbourne and Sydney by also rendering a song promoting Philippine culture and national artists. She works closely with FILOZART and YAPAK CULTURAL GROUP in promoting Philippine culture and arts also a vocalist.
Jinky has also been a chorister (Our Lady of Dolours-Chatswood also been an occasional cantor, St Patrick's Church Asquith and also with Our Lady of Rosary Cathedral-Waitara), an Australian National Anthem Singer (Lane Cove Council Citizenship ceremony, March 2006), a Band vocalist and a Wedding singer in various events locally and interstate. Jinky is also a Character entertainer (formerly with Carousel Clowns for Fun and Fairies of South Yarra, currently with Twinkles Edutainment since 2005), a Community Radio broadcaster and storyteller (Melbourne’s 3CR Radyo Kabayan Children’s Program and currently with Sydney’s Triple H 100.1FM Radio Tagumpay) and a Voice artist in the Philippines with SyncMaster Studio-RPN 9. Past Philippines credits included Alguna Vez (supporting role), Gente Bien (cover), Goggle V (Goggle Pink cover) and Maria Bonita (cover). Jinky 's music influences are various classical composers (Johann Pachelbel, Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Peter Schubert and Frédéric Chopin), renown sopranos Sarah Brightman, Mirusia Louwerse, Sierra Boggess, Chloe Agnew and Hayley Westenra, mezzo soprano, and multi-awarded Filipino artist Lea Salonga (Tony and Sir Laurence Olivier among others), contemporary artists Natalie Cole, Carpenters, Celine Dion and Shaina Twain, Jazz and Soul singers Ella Fitzgerald and Aretha Franklin, Gospel Singer Sandi Patty and Walt Disney music.
Also an influence in Jinky's formative years was her own father who plays the harmonica and enjoys listening to old-time classics. Another was her neighbour, "Mrs Rivera", who played some Spanish song recordings and opera and also played some classical music with the piano.
More so, Jinky will always be grateful for her gradeschool teachers, Mesdames Fontanilla and Espocia, who gave her the opportunities to perform and sing in school programs. With the encouragement of her parents and inspiration from her own children, the beautiful gift of music is continually being realised.

Musical Direction
Jinky is continually having vocal and music training under the direction of private music teachers : Maya Kedziora, a sought-after Polish soprano and classical music teacher (Classical and Piano), Dorota Benasiak (Contemporary/Musical Theatre), Justin White (Violin-beginners level) and occasionally with Greg Wilson (Harp-beginners level), a multi-instrumentalist. This is in her pursuit of becoming a multi-faceted artist and a musical therapist or being able to perform similar function to young and old, weak and well, able and with disabilties, small and wide group of audience, both locally, interstate and overseas.
