Oral Health Promotion For Babies and Toddlers

"Your child's first or primary teeth are as important as permanent teeth and require daily care", as quoted by the NSW Australian Dental Association. At the age of 2 to 3 years, in general, the full complement of "baby" teeth can be expected. Although these early childhood teeth are not for long-time keeping, they MUST take the child through the next 5 to 10 years of eating. Professional care, proper home care and teeth-safe diet are integral parts of maintaining oral health care of your child. An interactive, suitably entertaining and motivational approach of teaching children on how important caring for the teeth will certainly diminish if not elimate the fear of going to the dentist for the first time and onwards. Instilling the proper care of teeth at a young age will assist in building a community of people with better smile and better future for the new generation.
